         Food For Thought

Everyone wants to be physically healthy. But at the same time, you want to be mentally healthy as well. The true measure of “mental fitness” is how optimistic you are about yourself and your life.

Positive thinking is a phrase we have heard several times. We advise others to think positively even if they are upset or worried. Very lovingly we just suggest them to think positively. So it is a word we believe and we want to live in it. And yet when there is a situation in our own life, we unknowingly follow the path of negative thinking. We call it  Natural thinking.

Negative thinking can be in the form of fear or worry, blaming someone or belittling someone – feeling jealous –comparing ourselves with someone – competing with someone – feeling hurt about what somebody said. Even feeling resentful about someone. It is a wide spectrum.

How to figure out whether our thoughts are positive? Or negative? Any thought which disturbs our state of mind creates vibrations that radiate to others and creates a disturbance in their minds as well. Why does it happen that when there is a situation,

negative options come quickly to us?

We need to understand what is the source of our thoughts. Our thought is our creation – it is an energy – but what is the source of this energy?

Since thoughts are energy, what is the raw material that creates this energy? Guys, believe me, information is the most important source. It is like the food we eat, it’s the raw material that gets into the body. That’s why whenever there is a health issue,

the first thing is to check  one’s diet

Really!!!  is it my diet which creates my mind. Which diet am I taking wrong?

It is My emotional diet which I need to take care of.

And What is my emotional diet?        It is Information.

Information includes everything that we see, watch, and read.  If we are continuously watching reading or listening to violent and negative content available 24/7 by  Electronic-Print and Social Media, All these events are stored in the subconscious mind and it becomes a part of our thought process. So dear friends always Feed positive.   You will definitely think positive.

At and same time try some good habits like:

·         Control Your Reactions and Responses

·         Isolate the Incident

·         See Setbacks as Temporary Events

·         Don’t Take Failure Personally

·         Remain Calm

·         See things positively

It is not what happens to you, but how you respond internally to what happens to you, that determine your thoughts and feelings, mind power, and, ultimately, your actions. By controlling your inner dialogue, or “self-talk,” you can begin to assert control over every other dimension of your life.

I strongly believe in THE ME I SEE IS THE ME I WILL BE.

Be an Optimist!

Self-respect leads to self-discipline. When you have Self-Respect and Self- Discipline firmly under your control, that's Real Power. The one who, has controlled his senses and mind, Self is his friend but the one who has not attained to his self, his self becomes the enemy. The one has mastered the self and has reached the state of deep tranquility and peace his supreme self arises within, he is not affected by ups & downs, pleasure & pain and honour & dishonour.

Few Steps to stay healthy.

There are so many changes happening in my life, and I’m sure all college senior’s live nation wide. It is really easy to let healthy habits slip into our lives and reek havoc. Here are some things I’ve been doing to help make sure I can give my classes, internship/job, applications, fiance, friends and family my absolute best:
  • Have a regular sleep schedule. This isn’t the same for everyone, but I need at least 8 hours of sleep a night in order to be effective and pleasant the next day.
  • You are what you eat. Boy, is this the truth. When I fill up on fried food and rich pasta, I feel like a noodle or an onion ring. I’m trying (it’s a process) to eat more fresh foods, and less of them at a time.
  • Make time to exercise! For me, this can be a 20 minute jog or playing one-on-one with my fiance. But I know that if I don’t get my heart rate up at least 4 days a week, boy am I cranky!
  • Don’t procrastinate! This one is pretty easy for me; I’m too much of a planner to let things go. However, when I accomplish everything I have to do for the weekend on Thursday night, I feel SO good and I am really able to relax and enjoy my weekend- which leads me to my next point.
  • Relaxation is key. If our bodies don’t have time to recharge, we are constantly running on empty. I don’t feel very accomplished when I’m only giving tasks and people in my life 50%.
  • Have someone to talk to, and be someone to listen. Relationships with people we care about are so essential to success. Having people to talk to and being a support system for someone can be the best stress-reliever there is!
. We are all stressed and have a lot to look forward to, but these simple steps can really make a difference.  Sometimes I catch myself slacking off on one (or more) of these items, and I just go back to basics.

Think Tank

The Power of Our Thoughts
Thoughts carry tremendous creative power. Consciously or not, before every spoken word, there is a thought. In the same way, there is a thought proceeding every action. Since thoughts shape our words and behaviors, they inevitably shape our environment, relationships and destiny.

As part of our unique human power, our higher reasoning process separates us from other species. With our birth gifts of higher thoughts, inventions are made and modern civilization becomes a reality.

Unfortunately, most of us do not utilize the power of thoughts effectively. Instead of managing our thoughts positively and using them to create a better reality, we have become powerless with our thoughts. For example, how many of us catch ourselves daydreaming often and allow our mind to wonder from places to places without much control? On the other hand, how many of us try to control our lives ineffectively by allowing repetitively negative thoughts to dominate our mind such as worrying obsessively. Without learning to master the power of our thoughts, no wonder we feel anxious and depressed most of the time!

The power of our thoughts truly deserves our better attention as the quality of our thoughts determines the quality of our life. Negative thoughts create negative state of mind; therefore, they produce negative actions following by negative results. This sounds bad, doesn’t it? The good news is that in the same way, high quality thoughts create high quality state of mind; therefore, they produce positive actions and wonderful and positive results. Isn’t this a great incentive for us to pay attention and learn to monitor our thoughts carefully?

A good exercise is to start paying attention to the quality of our thoughts for a day. Your job is to reject any negative or limited thoughts as soon as they surface. Any “I can’t” or “too” judgments are out of the windows immediately. You might be surprised by how many negative thoughts you think daily. You might also discover that some of these thoughts are not even originally yours! What a relief! When I first started this exercise, I noticed that there were more negative thoughts than positive ones. Most of the negative thoughts were not even valid. Unfortunately, they had become part of my “thinking habits”. Eventually, I learned that the price I had paid for my habitual negative thoughts were way too high as they robbed away my happiness and my ability to create a good life.

Becoming conscious of the power of our thoughts is a necessity to improve the quality of our lives. Starting today, pay good attention to your thought quality. Use the power of your thoughts to create a good life because it is your birth right! As each of us becomes more conscious and becomes the master of our mind, we together can use our mind in creating more beauty, joy and goodness in the world.

Children Are A Gift From God
Children are a gift from God.  Like all of God's gifts, they are a blessing and a responsibility.  Plan now to be good to the children in your life.  Bless them and point them toward their Heavenly Father.  You'll be blessed and rewarded for being a righteous steward of your gifts.

God sent me a package
That needed special care
"Take care of these tiny gifts
For they are very rare."

"Watch over them with all your love
And let them feel your touch
Take care of their every need
For you are needed very much."

"These gifts will grow up very fast
As you soon will see
Love them with all your heart
And let them be what they will be."

"When these gifts have fully grown
Look at Heaven up above
Know they exist because of God
And all his precious love."
